It is the year 1850, and Sarah wakes up so excited at the prospect of an adventure. She has been living in a remote mining settlement in the California gold fields, but is about to embark on a journey to San Francisco - the bustling entry point for the countless prospectors looking to make their fortunes. She is accompanied on her journey by Caleb, the son of her uncle's business partner, and has been sweet on him for many years.
