In Taming Maria, the long awaited marriage between Maria Elena Bartolá and Juan Antonio Cabrillo eventually takes place. The business interests of the Bartolá's include cattle, horses, and farming, with the Cabrillo family focusing on the raising and breeding of cattle. The story is set in California during the 1940's, amidst a backdrop of ranches and vineyards and two childhood sweethearts destined to become lovers. But the handsome Juan is fully aware that his bride-to-be is headstrong and tempestuous. It seems the only sure way to tame her is to give her a well-deserved spanking!
