On one visit to Caroline's home, the headmaster receives a letter informing him that her 'slave' Adele needs to be severely punished, perhaps in his presence. There follows a frank and explicit account describing the events of the night which the headmaster spent at Miss Caroline Alexander's home, focusing on the interaction between his young Bursar and her attractive and intelligent maid.
