Pippa is now Head Girl at Westland Hall and remains in love with Tom Elliott, a former pupil who is now studying at Oxford. She is best friends with her former enemy, Claire Deschampes, and together they take pleasure in ensuring that anyone who breaks school rules are dealt with appropriately, with the aid of slipper and cane.
