No Talking in Assembly: Two 5th year girls, Fiona and Gail, find assembly so boring they break the rule of no talking, with severe consequences from Mrs Knight and her nasty cane.
An English Lesson: Form 5B are having an English Literature lesson with Mrs Lamb. Catherine is bored and tickles Julie's ear with a feather as Julie reads aloud. Julie laughs loudly and is made to bend over the desk with Catherine. Yvonne finds the spectacle funny - so all three girls are slippered.
Cheats Never Prosper: Maxine is very good at maths; Andrea is not - so she asks her friend Maxine for help in an exam conditions maths test. They are caught cheating, and are punished by being made to endure a painful hand caning.
Be Careful What You Wish For: Michelle, well behaved, has not experienced a slippering. Knowing that curiosity killed the cat, it still gets the better of the 16-year-old. Michelle deliberately gets in trouble.
PE Slipperings: Sandra, Anne and Janet decide to skip a PE class, but when they are located hiding out in the dinner hall, they receive a severe punishment from Mrs Bailey, who makes an example of them in the gym. They each get six hard whacks with the slipper.
