Kings Hedges Academy, a co-educational school for 11 to 18-year-olds, seldom used corporal punishment. On occasion boys might feel a whack or two, but the application of corporal punishment on girls was almost unheard of. But when the Academy's headmaster moves on to a new school and is replaced by Mr Henry, a teacher renowned for his use of the cane, corporal punishment is suddenly very much in fashion again. And it's not long before the first girl finds herself bent over the desk for six of the best from Mr Henry's whippy senior cane. The girls in the school are quick to organise a protest but it's all to no avail as over the following weeks more and more of their bottoms are subject to the supple rattan.

But when Mr Henry threatens to cane 16-year-old Gemma Ravenscroft on the bare bottom a number of his teaching staff make a formal complaint to the Academy's trust. Could this herald the end of whackings for the girls...?
