Simone had her nose pressed against the wall in the corner of the living room as she heard Ella go to the front door and say, "Hello, Grandma."
'Grandma' was 57 year old Janet. She was grandma to 14 year old Ella and 34 year old Simone's mum.
Janet gave a cheery reply. "Hi, Ella. So, is your mum ready?"
As she looked at the blank wall two inches from her eyes, Simone heard Ella reply, "Yes, Grandma. She has her nose pressed against the wall and is on her naughty-spot in the corner."
Janet asked, "Has she taken her knickers off?"
Ella replied, knowing this was now the ritual when her grandma arrived, "Yes, Grandma."
Janet then asked, "And your hairbrush?"
"Yes, Grandma. It's by the chair that I've already turned into the room."
Janet smiled as they both walked into the living room and looked towards Simone's naughty spot corner and saw that she was, indeed, standing with her nose pressed against the wall, her arms folded behind her back holding the hem of her dress up above her waist, showing off her bare bottom to anyone in the room.
Janet gave Ella a friendly smile and said, "Well, let's get this done, shall we, Ella?"
Simone had had plenty of time to think about the fact that she was in her mid-thirties but was the one who was about to be spanked by her mum, with her daughter watching. It certainly wasn't common, although, to be fair, a couple of her friends still lived at home and were subject to their parent's discipline, which involved grounding and spanking, and they were also in their mid-thirties. However, Simone knew that whilst her friends had been spanked since returning home after university, it was only a very recent occurrence for her, albeit that she had been spanked regularly herself when she had lived with her parents but never went home after university. So, as she kept her nose pressed against the wall in the corner of the room, she played over in her mind just how come she was once again, after so long, being spanked regularly again.
Simone remembered how, all those weeks ago, she was so surprised - in fact almost horrified - when she peered through the slight opening of her daughter's bedroom door, and saw Ella with her teddy bear across her lap, smacking its bottom with her hairbrush, and saying time after time, "Naughty Mummy, naughty Mummy, naughty Mummy."
Simone knew the reason was that Ella was due to go and see her school show that morning and in the afternoon would then be taken to the house of her friend, Lucy, for a sleepover; she'd been looking forward to both. However, Simone had spent far too long at the shopping mall and had forgotten about the show. When she got home, actually ready to happily show her daughter all of the new clothes that she had bought, she found Ella was really annoyed with her, quite rightly, as the show was almost over by the time she got home.
So, when Simone saw what Ella was doing, she remembered that when she was her age her mum was particularly strict with her. She had quite forgotten how many times, but at one stage she used to be spanked by her mum two or even three times a week. That quite quickly reduced as Simone's behaviour improved as did her responsiveness to her mum's demands. Of course, Simone knew that her mum only had her best interests at heart, and the strict regime worked for her as she then went on to do very well in her exams and at university, and later secured a very good job.
Watching Ella just for those few moments made Simone think that maybe she needed to approach her mum and work out how her less than responsible attitude could be corrected. So, she left Ella in her room and went downstairs and telephoned her mum and told her what had happened.
"Well, Mum, what do you suggest?" she asked. Of course, Simone knew what was needed but didn't know if her mum would even consider spanking her again at her age.
In fact, Janet was thinking the opposite, in that she knew spanking worked last time, but could she actually spank her daughter now that she was in her mid-thirties? Janet remembered the days when spanking her daughter wasn't at all the last resort, but spanking certainly worked. Because of that, she produced a list of rules and Simone knew that every time she broke one, she would end up being spanked. It turned out that was exactly what Simone needed to redirect her and improve her in so many ways.
Janet replied, in an almost questioning tone, "Well, Simone, we both know what worked when you lived at home."
Simone was almost relieved and replied, "Yes, Mum, you spanked me. It worked then and it could work now." She held her breath anxiously waiting to hear if her mum would scoff at her or agree to her request.
Janet reckoned it was the best thing, and replied, "Well, Simone, I'll come over this afternoon, when Ella is at Lucy's, and I will give you a reminder of what happened when you misbehaved all those years ago. I'll remind you just how much it hurt."
Simone did remember and immediately had second thoughts but knew it was too late. Anyway, she reconciled, whilst she had always hated being spanked, she saw it as the best way forward since watching Ella spank her teddy and tell her off as though she was her mum. Simone also thought back to those days and knew that she now deserved at least one more spanking from her mum, which, hopefully, would be enough of a reminder for her.
Simone also wanted to make sure Ella wasn't at the house to watch, so this afternoon sounded good because Ella would be at Lucy's. Her mum only lived around the corner but was due over for supper anyway, so she would just stay on and then Ella would see her when she was picked up later on, but not realise she had come over earlier, nor what she had done.
Simone went shopping again to take her mind off the spanking but was constantly reminding herself to get back in time to take Ella to Lucy's house and then get back for her mum. Well, she intended to get back on time, but, as usual, once looking around the shops, she forgot the time and returned late. She walked into the house, ready to once again show Ella the clothes that she had bought, and she saw her mum and Ella sitting at the dining table chatting. Both looked up and judging from the expressions on their faces, they were clearly very annoyed with her.
Simone still needed to get Ella out of the house and said whilst blushing, "Come on Ella, we need to get you to Lucy's. Hurry up."
Janet spoke sternly to Simone. "That is very unfair to make Ella feel like the guilty party here, Simone. I did ask you to take Ella to Lucy's house and be back for when I got here. So, the fact Ella is still here is your own fault not hers."
Of course, Simone realised that all of this was totally her own fault because, once again, she hadn't thought enough about her daughter. So, whilst realising that she had really earned a second spanking that day, or at least would have done if she was still living at home, she certainly didn't relish the thought of her daughter watching. However, judging from the look on her mum's face, that wasn't going to be her decision.
Janet really was annoyed with her daughter, and although that they had agreed Ella would not be watching the spanking, the fact that Ella was still at the house when she arrived, but Simone was out, was very much Simone's own fault. Several thoughts flashed through Janet's mind, including spanking Simone with Ella watching, but she held back from that as she had told Simone she would be spanked in private.
The thought lingered, though, and the quandary was that Janet knew that it wouldn't be usual for Ella to watch her mum being spanked. But then, it wasn't all that usual for a daughter Simone's age in her mid-thirties to know that she needed to be spanked and even to ask her mum to do it, albeit in private. So, if Simone knew she needed to be spanked and it was usual for siblings and their friends to watch, then why not allow Ella to watch her mum being spanked?
Janet had got to the house as arranged and assumed the house would be empty. So, as she had walked into the living room, she saw Ella's teddy bear and hairbrush on the sofa. Simone had explained to her what she had seen her daughter doing before they spoke on the phone, and so reckoned the same thing had happened yet again. That was confirmed by Ella who told her grandma that she had been annoyed that her mum had, once again, forgotten to get home and take her to Lucy's, as well as her missing the show that morning.
Ella even explained that as she heard the doorbell, she was sitting on the sofa with her teddy bear across her lap and she was spanking it with her hairbrush and kept on saying, as usual, "Naughty Mummy, naughty Mummy, naughty Mummy." She put the teddy and hairbrush on the sofa next to her, got up, and went and opened the front door. She was pleased enough to see her grandma and hadn't known that she was coming over so early. She gave her a kiss and a hug, and they both walked back into the living room, which was when Janet had seen the teddy and hairbrush on the sofa and that led to Janet asking Ella about it.
Once Ella had finished her explanation, Janet asked, laughing as though it were a joke, "Do you really think your mummy should be spanked at her age, Ella?"
Ella immediately replied, "Well, Grandma, you are her mummy so you could do it."
Janet didn't see any harm in saying, "I used to spank your mummy, and I even used a hairbrush like the one you use on your teddy. Do you think your mummy should be spanked because she forgot to take you to the show, Ella?"
Ella replied, "Yes, Grandma. Anyway, whether she deserves it shouldn't be her choice, should it, Grandma?"
"Is that why you spank your teddy, Ella?" asked Janet.
Hiding her smile, Ella made the comment, "We were told at school that if we were angry, we should tell our teddy bear off, and I did find it helpful in calming me down whenever Mum forgets about me."
Janet knew that the only one at fault here was Simone, and so at that moment decided she would at least tell Ella her mum was going to get a spanking. "Well, Ella, just so you know, I have come here early so I can spank your mummy."
Ella smiled and said, "She deserves it, Grandma."
Janet gave her granddaughter a maternal smile of support, and then explained, "Well, at least you will know I will have punished your mum for being so late." Janet smiled as she added, "I even used a hairbrush just like the one that was next to her teddy."
Ella gave out a now beaming smile and asked, "So, can I watch you spank Mummy, Grandma?"
Janet asked with a questioning look, "Is that a good idea, Ella?"
Ella immediately responded, "Oh yes, Grandma, that would be so cool." She then added, laughing, "But not so cool for Mummy's bottom, I suppose."
