George Watson has heard tales of the mysterious and alluring Woman of the Hills and her ability to tell the future. Intrigued, he goes in search of her, hiking for hours. When he finally comes face to face with her, high in the hills, he discovers that she is indeed beautiful, but also very scary with her ice-blue eyes and the power radiating from her in waves. His bravado evaporates as the encounter is not at all what he expected. She knows who he is - knows he is a shallow, selfish man and a serial adulterer ... and when she orders him to cut switches and strip for his whipping, he is powerless to resist. She later takes him to a secret chamber beneath her dwelling where she shows him visions of the past and his beloved ex-wife, Anna.
