Joe Murphy grew up in a strict household where corporal punishment was the norm, its use justified to help curb bad behaviour and instil obedience. As an adult, Joe still holds fast to these principles and uses them to good effect in his career within the prison service. Newly promoted to Warden at an all women's correctional facility, Joe discovers his facility has one of the worst reputations in the state and there is constant trouble.
