Alderton College is an experiment to combat a lack of discipline amongst the younger generation. Alderton aims to produce a core of well-educated and well-disciplined young women with the potential to become leaders. A new regime is established to dramatically improve teaching standards, and where the students (all girls) are subject to corporal punishment. However, corporal punishment isn't just for the students, but for the teaching staff too - including the headmistress. A firm believer in discipline, the headmistress encourages her staff to attain the highest possible professional standards... failure to maintain those standards and they too will be punished. Though some punishments are dispensed to students by senior prefects and house mistresses, the female staff are disciplined by men, three specially selected and trained disciplinary sergeants. Such is the regime at Alderton College, wherein lies a tale of sore bottoms and academic excellence, and painful motivation by slipper, paddle, hairbrush and cane. After a period of adjustment, both students and staff fully support the college's policies, and look forward to the next term...
