Michael Brandon is a demanding man, a hard taskmaster, and a workaholic who has little time for his wayward teenage daughter, April. His new executive assistant, Ms Davidson, is a capable, no-nonsense older woman who quickly adapts to working for him. One day she puts through a call to Mr Brandon from April's school... April has cheated on a test and forged her father's signature too. Completely at a loss on how to discipline the girl, Mr Brandon relies on Ms Davidson to show him the way... and with the aid of a hard hand, a flexible slipper and a sturdy hairbrush, he learns to embrace the benefits of corporal punishment. April is none too pleased at these developments, but is pleasantly surprised at the improved relationship with her father, who resolves to spend more time with her and less time working.
