Connor is 25 and has wasted the past seven years of his life womanising and generally having a good time. But the good times are coming to a close as his mother and wealthy stepfather, Stewart, are moving to the west coast. Unable to hold a job for more than a couple of months, Connor has been dependent on Stewart's funding, and now he has to fend for himself. He ends up working for Casey Lindstrom, a school teacher who also needs help running the family nursery and orchard business. For the first time in his life, Connor experiences hard physical labour; the work is demanding and tough, and so is his new boss. The ex-military Casey is assertive and in control, and she soon gets the measure of Connor and puts him through his paces, getting him to agree to being disciplined when he fails to carry out tasks properly or has a bad attitude. Connor is subjected to rigorous and painful discipline, but as his feelings for Casey grow, so too does his acceptance of being spanked by the only woman he has ever truly cared about.
