THE DISOBEDIENT WIFE

by Katie Bradford

The Disobedient Wife

She could hardly believe she was standing in the corner like a naughty little girl waiting for a spanking! She hadn't been forced to do this since she had been a senior in high school and stayed out all night with her friends. That one had been warranted. At least she could understand why her parents had been so angry with her.

Like a typical teenager, she hadn't bothered to call and let them know where she was or that everything was all right. Of course they had blown a fuse when she came waltzing in at five in the morning without a care in the world. But by that time they had been waiting for her in the living room, feeling fairly certain that she was safe because they had called several other parents and they were all saying the same thing... that their son or daughter hadn't come home yet either.

Man, the second she walked in the door that morning her parents began lecturing her on how irresponsible she was and how worried they had been. Then she was paddled within an inch of her life and made to stand in the corner with her panties down by her ankles!

But even though the spanking was severe and hurt like the devil, she knew she had deserved it and hadn't tried to fight her parents. She had submissively accepted it and gotten on with things.

This time, however, she did not feel that same conviction. In fact she really had no idea as to why she was even there. She kept going over everything in her mind. It had all started that morning after taking her class to the lunchroom. Katie had hurried back to her classroom to make a quick phone call on her cell phone. It was way past time to have her hair colored so she was calling Maria to make an appointment. That's when she noticed she had a voice message from her husband. Smiling she had played back the message thinking how sweet it was for him to call her at school.

The smile quickly turned to a frown as she listened to the nasty message. His voice was thunderous as he told her that she was in trouble and she had better have her bottom in the corner with her panties pulled down when he got home or else! He hadn't even bothered telling her why she was supposedly in trouble.

So instead of calling Maria, Katie sat at her desk and brooded about Jeff's message. She tried calling him back but his secretary had told her he was in meetings all afternoon and wasn't able to take calls. So there she was, with no way to confront Jeff about why he was so angry. She was doomed to worry about the whole mess until he got home that night.

Katie tried keeping her mind busy and not worrying about the punishment that was looming ahead. She wasn't sure how, but she guided her students through all their afternoon activities right up to the dismissal bell. But as soon as that bell rang and she was by herself once more, she couldn't help worrying about what Jeff had planned for her that evening. It truly bothered her that he would call and leave her a message like that, especially since she couldn't think of one thing she had done wrong.

Jeff had a habit of putting Katie across his knee when she did something he didn't like. She'd reminded him several times she was a grown woman with a respectable job and didn't appreciate him treating her like a kid. She expected to be treated like an equal. His response had been that it was his duty as head of the household to spank her bottom when she was naughty and she had better just get used to it if she was going to keep defying him.

Most of the time, Katie had to admit, Jeff was very respectful and talked to her like a partner instead of just ordering her around. However, there were times, today being included, that he snapped out an order and expected her to follow it without question.

After everything had been readied for class the next day, Katie gathered her school bag stuffed with papers to grade and headed out. She had a million things to do before Jeff got home.

She knew it would only be about another hour before his arrival, so she got right to work making a very special dinner making sure to include several of his favorite dishes. Once everything had been started she concentrated on their small dining room table. Placing a candle in the middle and turning the lights down low should help bring a little romance into their evening.

Now it was time to think about her appearance. It couldn't hurt to be wearing something sexy when he got home. Maybe she could work her womanly wiles on him and make him forget why he was so angry with her. She'd done it before, maybe she could finagle it again.

After much deliberation she had decided on the slinky black dress that Jeff liked. In fact, he was the one who had given it to her as a birthday gift last year. He usually couldn't take his eyes off her when she wore it. Checking in the mirror to see what she looked like with her dressed hiked up and her panties pulled down to just below her bottom cheeks, she decided she looked rather sexy considering the circumstances. She figured between the dress, Opium perfume and the great dinner she had cooked, Jeff didn't stand a chance! So... now she stood in the corner of her bedroom waiting for Jeff to come home.

The wait turned out to be a little longer then she had anticipated and she was getting antsy. Dinner needed to be checked on but she knew with her luck the second she went downstairs to check on it, he'd walk through the front door. Then she'd be in even more trouble because she wasn't where she was supposed to be. Eventually however, she knew she had no choice. It was either go down and check on dinner or eat a burnt one, and after all the work she'd gone through to prepare it she wasn't about to let that happen.

Pulling her panties up and her dress down, Katie decided Jeff would just have to understand and headed for the kitchen. She was glad of her decision because things were getting a little well done. If she had waited any longer the meal would have been ruined and that would have been a disaster. Katie placed the food on top of the stove and was about to go back up to the bedroom when she heard Jeff's key turning in the front door lock.

She knew she'd been caught with no way of getting back upstairs without him seeing her so she decided to take a different tactic. Ducking back into the kitchen she decided to pretend she had never gotten the message. She might be able to pull it off, after all, some days were so hectic she honestly wasn't able to check her messages until late in the evening. In the past she had missed several important messages that way.

When she heard Jeff open the hall closet to deposit his briefcase and coat, Katie mustered up all her courage and called out, "Hi Darling. I'm in the kitchen. I hope you're hungry. I fixed all your favorites!"

"Why are you in the kitchen?" Jeff asked irritably from the hallway.

"Cooking dinner silly," Katie teased lightheartedly. "I can't very easily fix dinner in the living room now can I?"

It wasn't long before Jeff was leaning against the kitchen door frame with his arms crossed and a look that could have stopped a freight train!

Pretending ignorance, Katie asked, "What's the matter sweetie? Bad day in the office? You're late, does that have anything to do with it?"

"My day was just fine," he snarled.

Ignoring his bad temper, Katie glided over to him, knowing she looked damn good in her little black dress she tried hugging him. Wrapping her arms around his waist and laying her head against his chest she waited for him to return her affections, but he didn't. He pushed her away and held her at arms length looking more like a father figure then a husband.

"You're not fooling me for one minute Katie Lynn Murphy! I know what you're up to."

Katie tried looking as incredulous as possible with her big brown eyes widening at his accusation. "What are you talking about Jeff? I'm not trying to fool you. I just wanted to make you a nice dinner tonight is all."

"Why aren't you up in the bedroom young lady?" he groused, still gripping her arms.

"I've already told you goofy... I'm making dinner. You know, the thing that we usually eat at the table every night after work," she replied with a hint of sarcasm while struggling to free her arm from his iron grip. But finding that maneuver impossible, she looked up at Jeff and winced. "Jeff you're hurting my arm. What's wrong with you?"

"That's not all I'll be hurting before the night's over," he snapped turning her sideways and popping her bottom meaningfully.

"Ow! Jeff what's wrong with you?" Katie asked irritably, again playing her part well. She ought to win an Oscar for the performance she was playing. However, there was one thing she wasn't pretending - the uncertainty as to why in the heck was he so mad at her.

Finally, releasing her arms, and already knowing what the answer would be, Jeff asked, "So... you didn't get my message?"

Katie turned quickly towards the stove as if she had forgotten something. She could feel her face flushing and was afraid he might be able to read between the lines when she said, "What message, sweetheart?"

"The one I left you today at school," he snapped.

"I guess the kids kept me so busy all day that I didn't get the chance to check my messages. Was it important?"

"Hell yes it was important! And if you don't want a spanking before dinner you'd better come clean! I know you heard the message! My secretary told me you even called back earlier this afternoon. Now, how could you have called me and not seen the message in your box? Huh?"

"Well," Katie replied thoughtfully, still not overly concerned, "perhaps I called you before you called me, so there wouldn't have been a message in the box, baby."

"Or perhaps," he sneered sarcastically lifting his hand in the air threateningly, "you're lying through your teeth and need to feel my hand across your cute little behind!"

"I'm not lying!" Katie flinched.

"Go get me your cell phone and let's see, darling," he ordered.

"Jeffrey!" Katie protested, "You're being ridiculous! Who cares who called who first?"

"I do," Jeff snapped. "Go get your phone now."

Much to her own surprise. Katie stood her ground. "No," she replied defiantly. "I won't!"

Jeff looked at his bride of two years and nearly choked when he heard her deliberate defiance. "Excuse me? I know I did not just hear you tell me No."

"It's the principle of the whole thing Jeff. You should believe me when I tell you something. Besides..." she paused before changing the subject, "dinner is getting cold and I made some of your favorite dishes."

I should make you throw the whole thing down the disposal for defying me this afternoon but you would be throwing good money down the drain which we can't afford to do right now."

The emphasis Jeff had put on certain words had not been lost on Katie although she chose to ignore them for the time being.
