Description

Daisy is aware that her parents haven't been getting along very well for some time, so when the three of them sit down to talk, she assumes a divorce is imminent. Her parents admit their behaviour has had an adverse effect on Daisy, and explain that after speaking with various people, they have decided to embrace domestic discipline, with Daisy's father as head of the household. Daisy is shocked to hear her mother will be spanked when she does something wrong or is disobedient, and is even more shocked that her mother is in full agreement that this will happen. The next surprise is that her dad has a new job and the three of them will be moving to Frugal Valley, a small community of people who practice domestic discipline.

So the sixteen-year-old Daisy embarks on a life completely different from her former one. Discipline is strict in Frugal Valley, and it isn't long before Daisy is subjected to it herself. Dr Corby at the village school is a wonderful teacher, and his proficiency at wielding a cane helps motivate misbehaving pupils. Daisy also learns that a punishment at school results in the same number of strokes given at home by her dad, to reinforce the lesson and encourage her not to repeat bad behaviour. But life isn't miserable, far from it; Daisy settles down and makes new friends, and she accepts that getting spanked is part of her new lifestyle. She notices the change in her parents, both happy and content within the close knit DD community. And it appears Daisy herself has something to smile about when the eighteen-year-old Charles tales an interest in her.

This is the second book in the Frugal Valley series.
