Description
The year is 1979, and Charlotte (Charlie) is in disgrace. Expelled from school for smoking dope, her parents decide to give her a last chance to get the A-levels required for a place at university by sending her to an exclusive boarding school. So Charlie, against her will, is sent to Chesterton Court Sixth Form Boarding School for Girls. Housed in a nineteenth century mansion in the Somerset countryside, the school has an excellent academic reputation, but Charlie soon finds it also has a formidable reputation for the enforcement of strict discipline. Having had no previous experience with spanking or corporal punishment, Charlie's first day at school is memorable; she is whacked with a hairbrush on her bare bottom... and this is just the first of many subsequent punishments. Charlie soon learns the price to be paid for breaking school rules. Discipline is meted out by the strict Headmistress, Miss Swinburne, (whose cane inspires fear amongst her pupils, motivating them to work extra hard), or her Deputy Head, the dour Miss MacLeish. Other staff members do not hesitate to wield the strap or slipper on deserving bare bottoms... such is the regime at Chesterton Court.
However, to Charlie's surprise, she quickly settles in and learns to enjoy boarding school life. Her time at Chesterton is a rite of passage, for she adapts and changes, realizing that even the strictest member of staff has her best interests at heart. Enduring friendships are strengthened by a shared bond - the girls know what it feels like to have a sore bottom. Indeed, bottoms become sorer still with the arrival of a new Housemistress and her Moluccan cane. Yet though some of the punishments are intensely painful, Charlie and one or two others actually come to enjoy the after effects, develop a penchant for a well-thrashed rear end, and wear their stripes with pride.

What a tour de force! I thoroughly enjoyed this heart warming story. It is full of well rounded and likeable female characters and I am not just referring to the shape of their bottoms. It conjures up the wonderful camaraderie that can develop amongst friends in a school environment, never really to be repeated in adult life. The story progresses through a balmy summer term with the girls getting into all sorts of mischief and ‘scrapes’, inevitably ending in having their bare bottoms soundly thrashed. Some hate it, whilst others crave for more. This story has clearly been written by someone who has had experience of boarding school life both as a pupil and as a teacher, which adds greatly to the story’s authentic feel. I felt quite bereft when the term finally ended and the last girl was driven home for the holidays! If you enjoy schoolgirl spanking stories, I can wholeheartedly recommend this book.

A captivating boarding school tale of well-developed characters I was increasingly drawn to them as the book progressed. I really liked the sub plot of Charlie's sporting exploits and the school magazine affair was brilliantly done, it was great fun solving the crossword clues then reading on to see how the girls fared.
Overall the book is very good value and I hope we may find out what becomes of Charlie and Nicki in the Upper Sixth

A quite outstanding work by a master of the genre. At all levels this is a wonderful read, whether it's the simple enjoyment of corporal punishment, or the parallel plots going on or whether the reader becomes involved with the various characters as they develop in the story. By the end of the book you feel you have reached the end of term yourself and are sad to the characters go!

One can't fault the grammar or punctuation
Of course the storyline waswell narrated
Dreamy Summer days for sixth-form girls
Really enjoyed the story
Especially as the main character could have been someone we know or knew.
All the characters were well set up and sub-plots entwined within the narrative.
Dalliances and discipline, canings and camaraderie, tawsings and tears.
I would have loved to have been able to fit the acrostic into a poem. If you want to know what I'm talking about, buy the book!
