The Pain Games trilogy is a dystopian fantasy which tells the story of two sisters, Anastasia and Felicia, who are selected for the Pain Games - a voyeuristic event which involves them in being subjected to a significant amount of corporal punishment. Prequel book 1 and 2 are also available, and tell of the exploits and punishments befalling Lucinda, and her sadistic mentor, Imogen Goldthorpe.

This second prequel to The Pain Games trilogy begins the week after the Pain Games have taken place and Lucinda is living in the house of the beautiful lesbian sadist, Imogen Goldthorpe. This is a rite-of-passage for Lucinda as she settles into a relationship involving sex and harsh punishments; she becomes Imogen's special pupil at the Academy and has to dress the part in a school uniform. Lucinda, desperately in love with Imogen, finds herself on the receiving end of all manner of spankings and painful canings, but as events develop and relationships sour, she is forced to escape from the Capitol.
