At the age of twenty-two, petite little rich girl Ginny (Virginia) finds herself working at a kids summer camp in Florida. Having missed out on a stable and loving childhood (her wealthy businessman father lost interest in her when her mom died, and appointed a succession of nannies to take care of her) Ginny loves the camp environment. It makes her feel like a kid again; she enjoys the activities and her job allows her to drive the little train which takes visitors around the resort. Even better is her developing relationship with the Parmenter family who own the camp; they are Mr and Mrs Parmenter, their three teenage daughters, Natalie, Peggy and Marie, and their grandmother, Violet. Over time, Ginny's bond with the Parmenters grows and she becomes one of the family, experiencing real family life. This includes a few spankings along the way for bad behaviour - a first for Ginny, as though she'd previously done plenty of things warranting a good spanking, no one had ever cared enough about her to give her the discipline she needed.

So Ginny voluntarily reverts back to her teens, taking a dose of old-fashioned discipline from her new mom and grandmother along the way. It brings out the best in her and fills her with new found confidence, and for the first time in her life she is no longer lonely.
