Used to having her haughty way, ordering upstart ladies-in-waiting to be spanked by her major-domo, Claudius, Princess Jacquetta is quick to reject King Comas as a potential husband, despite her father's desperate need for Comas' support against barbarian enemies. When the barbarians win the battle, Jacquetta is captured and spanked, but then rescued, only to be enslaved again, by a mysterious beggarman. She is soon subject to his switch, as her ladies-in-waiting look on. Over time, the spoilt princess begins to learn a new humility as she is forced to cook and clean and carry out all manner of menial tasks. She also learns to love the beggarman, eventually finding out his true identity... and her life changes drastically.
