Set in the mid 1960's, Ashfield Ladies Grammar School is set to merge with the Lord Devenish Boy's Grammar School to form a co-educational school. But on one Wednesday afternoon in October a few chance happenings occur which set into train an unforgettable series of events. Carol, Jess, Jimmy and Matthew, four pupils from the upper sixth form are caught misbehaving on the bus, and as a result they agree to take a caning from Miss Somerton as punishment. It transpires that Jimmy and Carol are turned on by the experience. School life continues and we see how the four friends react to corporal punishment from male and female members of staff, and we are also given a glimpse into the lives of some of the parents - many of whom find spanking an arousing and essential erotic activity in the bedroom.
