Set in the future, a woman's place in the decaying remains of towns and villages is insecure, and in the badlands in between, she is at the mercy of roaming desperados. But Cynthia and her younger lover Andrea have journeyed to the communities in the north where women are in control of their own destinies. Once established, Cynthia's skills are to be put to good use. The counsellor sends her and Andrea out to train the tough women of the south, as equipped with some martial arts skills they will be formidable defenders of the boundary.

This is a tale of lesbian love and lust in communities which embrace corporal punishment. Things don't go quite to plan as Cynthia has an encounter with Megan, and Andrea is busy flirting with other women - but a heavy dose of the paddle and strap sets things to rights and paves the way for further adventures.

When Cynthia challenges the burly yet handsome seaman, Lars, to unarmed combat, she is victorious - and he is obligated to her. But Cynthia doesn't mind sharing her new man with Andrea. Lars is not only good in bed, he is also very obliging with the paddle, strap and cane, and brings a whole new dynamic to the threesome.

This is a sequel to A Woman's Place, but can also be read as a stand alone story.
