This collection of short stories shows that Caroline Ann Johnson is no stranger to corporal punishment, having being disciplined by her mother, even as a nineteen-year old student. In later life, after training to be a PE teacher, Caroline gets a job as a gym mistress at a private school for girls, coaches the netball team, and earns herself a reputation for being a strict disciplinarian. This extends to 18-year-old Amy Jane Wilks, the netball team captain who often finds herself over Caroline's lap. It is some time before Amy learns that her own mother Janet is also spanked by Caroline. Caroline and Janet begin a lesbian relationship which also includes spanking.
